The SECOND SATURDAY of every month is ART GALLERY NIGHT in NORTHEAST LOS ANGELES. Galleries, artist studios, businesses, shops and restaurants open their doors as the streets fill with shoppers, diners, patrons and interested pedestrians.
Bob Taylor Properties is proud to celebrate NELA’s thriving art community by hosting a one-night, once-a-month ART and MUSIC EVENT at our office, displaying work by some of our neighborhood’s most talented and creative artists.
Our SECOND SATURDAY event for September will feature Gwen Freeman a creator of bold, emotional and expressionistic landscapes; and Sergio Vasquez a masterful Painter of People, and other fantastical beings.
Katherine Arion will set up her easel by our front door to create colorful pastel portraits at your request. Lilian Mercado will show whimsical handmade jewelry. The event is curated and organized by internationally recognized multicultural artist, Rafael Matias.
And we are pleased to present great live music out on the sidewalk. The Carlos Guitarlos Trio delivers Blues, Rhythm & Blues, Americana and Rockin’ Roots brought forth from a lifetime of experience and hard living.
